Bible Reference: Genesis 3:1-17, Matthew 24:15-30, I Tim 3:2, Titus 1:6-9
The topic we are addressing has to do with the final deceit of satan the devil, If there is a final deceit, there must have been a previous deceit.
What do you understand by the word deceit?
Deceit: An act or practice intended to deceive, An act of deceiving someone.
Deceive:, To trick or mislead
The Holy scripture tell us in the book of Genesis chapter 1, God created the heaven and the earth and everything there in including all animals and man. God said it is not good for a man to be alone (Genesis 2:18). God made woman and brought her to Adam to be his help mate (Genesis 2:21-23). Adam and Eve were working and fellowshipping together with God daily in the garden of Eden. However, the first deceit by satan the devil took place in the garden of Eden, Satan the devil used the serpent to manipulate(deceive) Eve, the wife of Adam in the garden of Eden. In Genesis 3:1-24, The Holy Scripture described the serpent as more subtle than any beast God created. The serpent manipulated Eve (woman) which led to Eve’s disobedience to the instructions of God, which brought about the fall of man.
- The fall of man
Man fell due to disobedience to the word of God. Disobedience to the word of God is a sin.
Generally, if there is no law, there is no offence. One can only appreciate redemption plan of our Lord Jesus Christ, If one understand the impact sin has made in the life of man.
- The transgression and the fall of Man (Genesis 3:1-13)
There was a commandment; there was a tempter which is satan (serpent). The serpent spoke to Eve rationally convincing her that the instruction of God was grievous (Rev 12:9, 20:2).
The serpent made the woman doubt and disobey the instruction of God, Satan lied to the woman, he made the woman believe that the instruction given by God was not in their favor or interest. The serpent made the woman believe what he (Satan) was saying was more favorable to her.
The serpent made the woman believe and accept that the fruit was good for food, she plucked and ate it(Gen 3:6, James 1:12,13) and give to Adam and he ate it. The two of them fell into sin, They disobeyed the word of God. Sin is contagious (James 1:13-15).
Man always finds especially the forbidden fruit pleasant. That is the reason for adultery and fornication. There was an immediate, dramatic effect of their action (Job 3:33).
Their eyes were opened (Gen 3:7), They were ashamed that they were naked, they felt pangs of guilt and hid themselves from the presence of the Lord (Gen 3:8) fear and shame came in, they began to make excuses and the glory of the Lord departed from them. They knew within themselves that something had gone wrong. They had sinned and come short of the glory of God.
- Consequence of the fall of man(Gen 3:14-24)
In actual fact, before the judgment was passed on the man by God, the rule of conscience had already taken effect on man. The effect of sin are always immediate in the spiritual realm in the site of man.
The following consequence followed the fall of man:
- Curse: The serpent was cursed, the woman was cursed, the man was cursed and the ground was cursed. Sin never profits anyone, no matter what excuses may be.
- Shame: Clothing became mandatory, innocence was lost, there was no freedom before God anymore. Sin is the greatest barrier between man and God.
- Rejection: Man was ejected from God’s place of appointment and excluded from the pleasure of his presence; fellowship with God was lost, paradise was lost too, every sinner is a loser.
- Sin entered into the world: Man was corrupted, the fountain was already fouled and consequently the flow because of sin ( Rom 3:23, 5:12-14, Job 14:4).The devil became the ruler and the god of this world: Man’s dominion was taken away. Satan took control of man…”for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought into bondage (2 peter 2:19)”.
- Mortality entered the world (Rom 5:21)”The soul that sinneth shall die”.
- The judgment of eternal damnation took effect on man. Hell became the destiny of every sinful soul. (Ezekiel 18:4, Psalm 9:12). The pleasures of sin will never compensate the pains there of.
- The effect of the fall is seen everywhere today. Sin has become universal, and it is man’s greatest problem. Its consequences are evident in every phase of human life. The fundamental root of every problem faced by man is sin. Sin rages from juvenile delinquency to adult irresponsibility, fornication to adultery, small- scale pilfering to large- scale robbery and individual cheating to National fraud and exploitation. These things are deeply rooted in man’s sinful nature. Tougher laws, more prison, public education, social improvement and all the various method devised by man to combat crime may bring some relief but they can never and will never bring permanent, workable solution. Man ignores the great problem of sin to his peril. Apart from the sin we inherited from Adam, we commit actual of our own – stealing, fornication, adultery, idolatry effeminacy, homosexuality, witch craft, drunkenness, violence, murder etc (1 Cor 6:9-11, Gal 5:19-21, James 4:1, Matt 15:19-20) we have to answer.
- For every one of these sins, the wages of sin is eternal punishment in hell fire and separation from God.
- Jesus sent to the world
- However, following the fall of man, judgment and consequences; God decided to send Jesus to His people (Isaiah 6:8).
- Jesus obeyed God to redeem the people (sinners) back to God. While on earth, He brought solutions to sinner’s problem.
- Solutions to sinners problem
- He brought solution to sinners problem by dying for them.
- Know Jesus, receive and believe in Him (matt 16:13-19, John 1:12)
- Repent from your sin (Acts 3:19)
- Keep the commandment of God.
- Fear and obey the word of God (Eccl 12:13)
Jesus while on earth warned and counseled His disciples of the events that will occur towards the end of time.
Furthermore, He counseled His disciples about the deceits that will take place before his second coming- that they should be alert, Prayerful and watchful to enable them endure to the very end (matt 24:1-30).
The final deceit: (Matt 25:15, & Daniel 11:31, 1 Timothy 3:2, Titus 1:6-9).
Having discussed the first deceit of Satan the devil in the garden of Eden, We now go into the final deceit.
In the first deceit, Satan used serpent to manipulate the woman (Eve) in the beginning of the world. Satan caused man to disobey God, which brought about curses and judgment on mankind, In this end time, Satan again has caused man not only to disobey but also to judge God directly or indirectly using woman as in the first deceit.
However, Jesus in matt 24:15-30 mentioned various deceits that will occur before His second coming and He warned His disciples to be alert, watchful and prayerful.
In this write up, we shall zero in on matt 24:15, which has to do with bringing women to the altar of God as priest or deaconess which contradicts God’s instruction. You may refer to you-tube (The Glory of the Lord media TV) for a message that reads: (Ordination of woman as priest is an abomination).
In this final deceit of Satan, Satan succeeded in making man and woman believe that a woman can equally become a priest just as the man. Consequently, some servants of God have gone contrary to the word of God:
- The church leaders have formulated qualifications or conditions for a woman to be made a priest or deaconess in their denominational churches, there by adding to the word of God (Deut 4:2, Deut 12:32, Rev 22:18-19).
- They have set aside the instructions of God and implemented their own e.g: 1 Timothy 3:2; A Bishop must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach. In their condition, a Bishop must be a man of one wife or a woman of one husband…..
1 Timothy 2:9-14
“In like manner also that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair or gold or pearls or costly array. But which becometh women professing godliness with good works. Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
For Adam was first formed, then Eve, and Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression”
- By these acts of theirs, they have made themselves superior to God hence, they have judged God, God said to me my servants have judged me.
Satan the devil made these servants of God to believe that the ordination of women was more beneficial to the ministries or churches or individually financially, materially and numerically. The more the numerical strength, the more the merrier.
However, in the first deceit, God sent Jesus to the earth to deliver man from all curses. Jesus Christ died on the cross, the death man would have died. In this final deceit, who will now redeem man from death that follows disobedience?
Brethren; note that Satan the devil has been judged, he is looking for those who will join him in the lakes of fire; his external place. Isaiah 14:12-14), In this scripture, Satan the devil wanted to be like God not above God, and judgment was instantly passed on him. Remember that Lucifer (Satan the devil) was a servant of God, what about the servant of God of today who has lifted themselves above God, acting superior to God, they set aside God’s instruction (word of God) in their various denominational ministries or churches.
However, who will now deliver such ministers from death?
Note that, the greatest abomination that has ever taken place right from the foundation of the earth is the ordination of women as priests which brought the judgment of God on the servants of God. Every priest is a father; a man. Therefore, if a woman becomes a priest, she has become a father. Spiritually, two fathers in a home is homosexuals. In the book of Genesis 19:24, 19:1-27), Fire of Judgment was passed on Sodom and Gomorrah due to homosexuality of the people.
Brethren, In one of my annual retreats, Jehovah God gave me the Holy Scripture in a scroll form and He instructed me to go and correct His servants and declare His truth to the mankind.
Some years ago, In one of the annual conferences of one of the big churches in Nigeria. The general Overseer stated that “ I was praying for the success of the annual conference and I presented the list of women pastor and deaconess I wanted to ordain in that conference, suddenly I had a voice which said to me you are on your own, I have never permitted a woman to be ordained as priest or deaconess, tear the list and I tore the list”. In the conference, the G.O apologized to the whole church about the women Pastor and deaconess he has appointed in the past and declare them cancel with immediate effect, Unfortunately, the G.O died few years later.
